Our campaign has succeeded in its aim of preventing Derbyshire County Council from closing Combs Infant School. We are determined to provide a secure long-term future for the school, with even deeper links into our community activity.
BROKEN LINKS: Some of the links in this site use the domain savecombsschool.org.uk.
Because the site is no longer maintained, those links no longer work.

Threatened by Closure
In May 2007, Derbyshire County Council wanted to close Combs Infant School. The school operates in a building that also serves as the Village Hall and Chapel. These functions were also threatened by the proposed closure of the school. After our campaign, DCC decided that they couldn't close the school.

On 30 October 2007, DCC announced that they were NOT going to close Combs Infant School.
